Breakfast 1-0-1

DipticBreakfast is by far, my favourite meal of the day. I go crazy experimenting with breakfast probably more than with any other meal. Something I always seem to hear is “Breakfast? I don’t have time for that” or “I just have a bowl of cereal” and then there’s the take away options and the breakfast shakes people are lead to believe are good for them. To many people, breakfast is considered boring and in a lot of cases skipped completely. I often get asked what I have for breakfast, and this is it.

  1. Place 1/3 cup oats in a bowl and cover with rice or almond milk
  2. Add a sprinkle of cinnamon and stir
  3. Place in the fridge overnight

Suggested toppings

  • Chobani yogurt 
  • Fresh or frozen berries
  • LSA (Linseeds, sesame seeds and almonds – can buy from any grocery or health food store)
  • Coconut chips
  • Grated green apple
  • Fresh figs
  • Banana
  • 100% pea protein 
  • Pepitas
  • Bee Pollen
  • Mint Leaves

Start experimenting!! The more nourishing your breakfast – the less likely you are to snack on unhealthy treats throughout the day.
